There are times when your baby's poop really excites you, and today is one of them. Sorry in advance. They are becoming more solid I noticed, just right though. I've been alternating prunes with one new food to keep him "running smoothly" while we are in the early stages of this whole eating solids business. This morning he had a helping of prunes and then tried to eat my breakfast so I fed him homemade carrots. It was his second time having carrots and this morning he could not get enough. He started eating his hands and shirt when I was spooning more from the jar because he couldn't wait. We have a hungry baby on our hands! I'll post a feeding vid/photo later.
I'll have to watch his carrot intake though - don't want him turning orange like andrea ; )

Such a look of satisfaction!

6 months

Elliott will be 6 months in 3 days! Lots of videos below, in chronological order from right before Christmas to after. I will post a couple more from the past week later. Also, there is a 6 mo update below the videos!

Lately we have tried pureed apples, followed by prunes for constipation issues from the apples. No wonder he was so fussy for days!

We tried sweet potatoes today that I had cooked for him myself, but they made him cry. I think he might have been scared by the slightly lumpy texture.

He is playing by himself right now making all sorts of screeching noises. He's been twisting and turning his body alot but still hasn't rolled from back to belly. He does like to stand and sit and is fairly good at both, but still needs support for sitting. He likes to make funny noises with his lips and tongue and will try to blow raspberries. He has really taken an interest in Daphne lately and he started laughing at her when I made her do tricks. He watches her walk around the room for a long time! I feel like we are able to communicate more lately, and I may start using some sign language just so it will start to sink in for him. Obviously he cannot sign himself and will at first have no idea what they mean but I figured I can start showing him the connection now that he seems to be communicating vocally more with me.
