Personality

At this stage in his life, I would describe his personality as:

Serious

Sensitive

Goofy

Observant

Curious

Loving

He is overall more of a quiet baby and wants to be close to you and have you play with him in close proximity or have you hold him and cuddle him.  He's not needy or clingy most of the time, but he does prefer to play with you near him versus playing on his own.  He has his goofy moments though and they come out in big bursts.

From the past week: waiting for dad at the window, documenting his baby hairs, having lunch together, going grocery shopping, playing, at school with mom for a meeting, playing in bed!

8 months

He isn't crawling still but even within the last week I've noticed him trying some very subtle new moves out.  It might not be noticeable to others but because I see him 24/7 I can tell he's really trying to figure it out now.  He changes positions more often now.  He is also trying to pull himself up on things a little bit but that is also fairly imperceptible except to me.  He is definitely nowhere near doing it on his own.  I had a dream he suddenly was able to sit up on his own and stand and fall out of the crib so maybe I should take that as a hint to prematurely lower his crib mattress ; )

He can't stand unsupervised of course, and I had to snap these pretty quickly or he'd risk falling on his bum, but he loves to stand up and is trying to pull up on things.  He isn't quite there yet but I can see him working it out in his head.  He's also been bouncing on his butt in sitting position and I think he might scoot by bouncing off the ground eventually
