put together the dresser/changing station today

it took about 3 hours because i move really slow...

and, this is what they call "blowing coat"

i get at least this much fur PER DAY off her.  gross.

My favorite salad for dinner

You can generally put whatever you want on it, but it is my take on salad nicoise so I do salmon and green beans always.

I also add : hard boiled egg, roasted sweet potato or new potato, sauteed mushroom.  The yummy thing is that you can throw all these ingredients in the fridge and make the same salad hot or cold the next day.  Tastes good either way!

I either make a balsamic vinaigrette, dijon vinaigrette, and squeeze some fresh lemon on it.

Mmmm....

we will have to repaint, we are thinking the far right grey color behind the couch, and we need a table or two and a sitting chair but those can wait.  we are done making purchases for a while!

 

house updates and a wedding

 recently purchased tiny furniture for our house.  something that is guaranteed to fit into our living room and wind around the narrow corners to get there.  arrives sunday!

 jared installed our bathroom towel hooks.  the old railing used to be about 2 feet lower than that and the towels would almost touch the floor on it and barely fit more than 1 towel at a time.  made no sense whatsoever

I think handmade wood pieces are usually made by the father or grandfather but E will just have to get used to having all his handmade toys made by his mother

 

Added new mulch and an ugly wire fence in an attempt to keep Daphne from wrapping her leash around the bush, but she gracefully hops over it like it's nothing of course.

27 weeks and sticking my stomach out a little because i had to stand on my tip-toes to be in view in the mirror, but i'm getting larger.  i think my count of people stopping me at home depot to ask me when i was due on saturday was somewhere between 3 and 5.

lots of movements - i think he is positioned head down with his feet to the right near my ribs.  i think this because i believe i can feel a limb with my hand sometimes.  i also could feel limbs down below my belly button and felt like i could shift his body around a little on my own.  so strange!  he has been moving so much that i felt a little motion sick yesterday.  it's all day, every day, non stop!

Wardrobe and a baby dresser from Ikea

Also lots of random garden/home improvement stuff.

I would have liked there to be some open shelving space on the dresser but for $40 less I gave that up.  I might put up an outdoor basket/planter like below on the wall next to it but maybe a more rectangular shape and make a cloth liner to hold items for changing in it, as a space saver.

very slowly but surely we are working our way through all the junk sitting around.

tomorrow i am picking up a glass and brass square coffee table from craigslist for the living room, and we are sofa shopping some more.

the furniture in the rooms isn't necessarily where it will end up...the master is pretty crowded and upstairs is supposed to be the study/guest area but i haven't worked all the furniture out yet and we are having trouble figuring out closet space, as there is next to none!
