colic?

well, i think it's time to consider that i may have a colicky baby on my hands.

every 2 hours, or less, he will wake from his sleep and start fussing and crying unless fed.  holding does not console him.  and when i start to feed him he'll only eat a tiny bit and fall asleep only to wake again in less than an hour to do the same exact thing.  i will bottle feed him a larger quantity but it really does not seem to knock him out any longer.

as i sit here he has been screaming and crying in his crib for about ten minutes but i just cannot physically keep up with his routine of sleep 30 minutes (or less), wake, fuss 15 minutes, feed 5 minutes.

it is literally like i am feeding him tiny snacky bits every hour just trying to console him.

from what i read, colic will often present itself as gassiness and that is exactly what is happening.  unfortunately his prematurity may have been a trigger too. 

i'm going to literally lose my mind in a few short hours.  i am home alone all day every day and when jared gets home he only "helps out" for 3-4 hours and then goes to bed.

basically, i feel like a single parent who is about to go crazy here pretty soon.

also, he is still doing the clicking sound when feeding.  this does not help his gas, it makes him less efficient at feeding, and it is FREAKING ANNOYING.
