Elliott knows the word "hot!" and he usually says "Hah" but today he said the whole word with the "t" at the end. He knows that the oven gets "hot!" and he's very suspicious about warm food, even lukewarm, and he will see me blowing on something to feed him and will usually refuse to eat it, and when he touches it he will say "Hah" and shake his head.
Which leads me into the no portion. He doesn't say "No" and I'm trying not to encourage that word too much because I am bound to be bombarded with only "No"'s once he learns it, but he knows the meaning of shaking his head to refuse things. He is much more communicative, especially at mealtimes, and will frequently ask for things through sign language or refusing everything I offer until I offer the correct item.
