The remainder of the night went as follows
Had an epidural around 4am when I started feeling really ill from contractions. Found out I was 4 cm and 90% effaced at that time, which was unusually quick.
I waited to be checked again around 7 am and I was 9 cm so we just ended up waiting for my contractions to be closer and for me to feel the need to push.
I think the nurse said pushing was a half hour long, to me it seemed really short and about 6 contractions long, and he was out.
5 lbs even, 18", 9.9 Apgar, 34 weeks, premature
He's in NICU and we see him every 3 hours for feeding time.
Jared changed his diaper today and took his temperature, and he breathes on his own. He does need a warming light for body temperature and he hasn't had a regular feeding schedule yet so we are working on those two things to get him discharged.
So far everything seems to be going fine! He will have to stay here after we leave though for a short time I would imagine.
